JDRF ONE WALK: STORES OF HOPE MAKES VIRTUAL WALK IN-PERSON
STORE Capital employees, their families, friends, and four-legged companions all joined recently for a three-mile walk at Marguerite Lake in Scottsdale, Arizona in conjunction with the 2021 JDRF One Walk. The STOREs of Hope Team raised nearly $9,000 in donations, which included $1,500 company matching funds to support the foundation’s research to find a cure for Type One Diabetes (T1D).
STORE Capital business associates, DLA Piper, Kutak Rock, and Lockton Insurance, joined in donating to the effort along with STORE employees and friends. This year’s JDRF event was organized as a “virtual walk,” but 25 STORE team members gathered safely in person to make the walk on their own in Scottsdale.
Arizona had over 1,000 participants for the Chapter’s 31st annual event and raised over $600,000 and counting in total donations. The One Walk has been the organization’s most powerful peer-to-peer fundraising program raising more than $1 billion dollars in research since 1992.
STORE Capital and its employees are proud to support JDRF’s efforts to advance T1D research.
