STORE Capital Women’s Network Presents The Art of Communication and Negotiation

On April 28th STORE Capital’s Women’s Network presented “The Art of Communication and Negotiation” to its employees. The event was based on the principals and teachings of STORE Capital’s Chair Emeritus, Mort Fleischer.

Mort Fleischer has served as a director since STORE’s beginning in 2011, including serving as the non-executive Chairman of the Board from May 2011 until April 15th, 2021. STORE’S executive team and Board considers Fleischer an honorary founder of STORE and has granted Mr. Fleischer the honorary title of Chair Emeritus. As a result of over 40 years of experience in the real estate and net-lease industries he has contributed invaluable guidance, support, and wisdom to STORE, especially in the early years of its formation.

The Art of Communication and Negotiation was presented by two seasoned members of STORE Capital’s Acquisitions team, who presented the material and used pre-planned roleplays from the audience to share how these communication techniques are used in customer scenarios. The difference between being a “salesperson” and a “master communicator” was the focal point of the discussion.

The Art of Communication and Negotiation was the second event presented by STORE’s Women Networking Group. Their mission is to provide opportunities for development, foster valuable connections, and facilitate success through personal and professional growth for the next generation of leaders through empowerment, mentorship, and service.
